Project title: Grazing Incidence X-ray Ptychographic Microscopy

Project description:

Grazing incidence Small Angle X-ray Scattering (GISAXS) is a useful technique that is very sensitive to surface properties for thin film materials. The goal of this project is to combine GISAXS with coherent diffraction imaging and ptychography to develop imaging techniques that will ultimately allow for 3D reconstructions with nano-scale sensitivity to surface features in a very large field of view in one axis (Up to on the order of mm) and rapid in-situ studying of thin-film phenomena.
